On the morning of November 10th the scouts in Bellingham will be participating in the annual Boy Scouts of America Scouting for Food Drive to benefit the Bellingham's Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. We are asking Bellingham families leave bags of non perishable food out as donations by your mailbox or front step. Members of the Bellingham Boy Troops’ 1, 14, 100, and Cub Scout Pack 118 and their families will be driving around town and picking up your donations to take the loaves and fishes food pantry supporting those in need in our community.
Scouting for Food is an ongoing annual program of the Boy Scouts of America, begun in 1985 by the Greater Saint Louis Area Council. The program involves collecting for local food banks. It is organized at the local level throughout the country.
Scouting for Food is a project rooted in the very foundation of the Scouting movement and its dedication to implement the Scout Slogan and “do a good turn daily.”
