By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the Blaire House of Milford's new Memory Care Adult Day Health Center was held Monday with Congressman Joe Kennedy and State Senator Ryan Fattman in attendance. The Memory Care program at the Blaire House of Milford will be able to provide assistance for 55-additional clients each day who suffer from memory impairment, improving their quality of life and providing much needed support to their families. Congressman Kennedy spoke about how this country needs to get ready for the baby boomers who are becoming elders developing Alzheimer’s disease and how this new Memory Care Program will help meet the challenges of caring for our seniors. Senator Fattman spoke about how his grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease so he knows the challenges of caring for someone with the disease. According to the Alzheimer’s Association five and-a-half million Americans are currently living with the disease.
