By MyFM's Jake Archer - The Boston College men's basketball team is set to lose their two best players as both Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman have announced their intentions to enter the 2018 NBA Draft. It seems like it will be a big blow to a team that improved a lot this past year, but both players have declined to hire an agent which means that they can possibly end up back at BC if they don't get the feedback they want from NBA teams.
Still, it's likely that both players will indeed stay in the draft which ends their careers with the Eagles. Robinson, a junior, was a breakout star this season and finished as the runner-up for ACC Player of the Year. He was named First Team All ACC and has a skill set that could certainly translate to professional success. At 6 foot 5, the guard isn't the biggest guy but he's one of the most gifted scorers available. The questions come on defense, but I'm sure an NBA team will want to take a chance on a guy that can create the way he does.
Bowman was only a sophomore but really made his mark this past season. He's a bit more of a project as he struggles with his basketball IQ, creating for others and efficiency. The 6 foot 1 guard is extremely athletic though and can score while wowing the crowd. His potential is very high, if he can reach it. I think he'd benefit from staying another year in college, but he could be a second round pick this year.
