By MyFM's Jake Archer - Yesterday, the Boston Bruins added to their stable of young talent by signing forward Anders Bjork to a 3-year entry-level contract. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound Bjork is a product of Notre Dame and led the Fighting Irish to their first Frozen Four since 2011 just this past season.
Bjork was an alternate captain for Notre Dame during the 2016-17 season and he registered 21 goals with 31 assists for 52 points. He was selected to the All Hockey East First All-Star Team. The year before, Bjork was selected to the All Hockey East Second All-Star Team after recording 12 goals and 23 assists while leading the team with 35 points. He also scored seven goals and grabbed 15 assists for 22 points in his freshman year in South Bend.
Bjork has represented the United States on the national stage on a handful of occasions already. He’s from Mequon, Wisconsin and was selected by the Bruins in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
