Carol L. (Taylor) Laflamme, 66, of Whitinsville passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was in Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Robert F. Laflamme for 21 years.
She was a certified case manager for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare and was also recognized for her excellence as a wellness coach. Previously, she had worked at Tufts Health Plan. She was also a labor and delivery nurse at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham and at Carson City Hospital in Nevada.
Carol was born November 5, 1951 in Seattle, WA the daughter of Robert Taylor of Uxbridge and the late Patricia (Jones)Taylor. She was a graduate of Framingham South High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College.
Mrs. Laflamme was the meticulous planner for the family. She had a love for animals, especially her cats. She was an avid reader, played the piano and violin and loved to travel and watch movies. She cherished time with her children and grandchildren. Throughout her illness, Carol possessed extreme strength and courage. She also maintained a strong faith and was a 20-year member of the Faith Community Church in Hopkinton.
In addition to her husband Robert of Whitinsville and her father Robert Taylor of Uxbridge, she is survived by her children, Michael S. Alden and his wife Heather of Whitinsville, Stacey J. Coffin and her husband Richard of Westborough and Jeffrey O. Laflamme and his wife Sharon of Uxbridge; two brothers, Richard Taylor and his wife Kathy of Milford and Jeffrey Taylor and his wife Georgeanne of Norwalk, CT.; six grandchildren, Taylor, Madeline, Emily, Ava, Jeffrey, Katelyn and nieces, nephews, cousins and a great aunt. She also leaves behind her best friend of over 50 years Jane Rakip and her husband Ron of Framingham.
Visiting hours will be Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5-9 PM at the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main Street, Rte 122, UXBRIDGE.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Community Church of Hopkinton, 146 E. Main Street, Rte. 135, Hopkinton.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite Street, Uxbridge.
