On Saturday, May 19th 2018, the Town of Milford will be celebrating its rich culture, history and community diversity at the Third Annual CELEBRATE MILFORD. The celebration will take place in and around the Milford Town Park.
Kicking off the celebration will be the Parade of Local Youth Organizations celebrating the local youth in our community and the organizations that make Milford unique, special and community spirit rich.
The CELEBRATE MILFORD Kids Zone will be filled with bounce houses, inflatable fun, clowns and magicians, face-painting and, new this year, Rock n Roll Racing… remote control slot cars that kids can race with their friends! Admission is at a special rate of $5 per child for the entire day!
A myriad of entertainment will be featured throughout the day. Bring a blanket and lawn chair and enjoy local bands and musicians like Hit The Bus, SOULidarity, The Wrong Road’s Right, Heather Deary and more in the Milford Town Park Music Pavilion.
Food will certainly not be scarce with caterers and food vendors serving up their delicious treats in the park. Food trucks will line local streets with a wide variety of edible goodness. A beer garden will satisfy your adult beverage thirst.
Over a hundred vendors will be on hand as well promoting their products and services.
Another new edition to Celebrate Milford is the Porchetta Cook-Off where you decide which amateur chef will be crowned King of the Porchetta!
The Milford High School & Hospitality Management Program will be hosting the 4th Annual Atlas Travel Fair this year at Celebrate Milford. Come visit the travel tent to plan your next vacation and a chance to win a free cruise!
Celebrate Milford is an opportunity to bring the community together in a positive way and showcase all that we have to be proud of in Milford. We live in a great community. One worth celebrating!
Net proceeds raised by the event are given back to the community. In fact, we distributed over $18,000 to area not-for-profits after last year’s event! The all-volunteer Celebrate Milford Committee intends to use this year’s net proceeds for community beautification projects, youth initiatives and scholarships.
