By MyFM's Rick Michaels - After having the town of Northbridge's preferred design solution for the proposed reconstruction of the Edward Balmer Elementary School approved by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), a Community Forum will be held tonight to bring residents up to speed on the project. The town's two elementary schools will be consolidated at the Balmer School site on Crescent Street. The estimated cost of the project is 105-million dollars and now with MSBA go-ahead, the cost to the town will be about 58-million. A property tax debt exclusion to pay for the project may come up at the Fall Town Meeting with a vote to follow in November. The Community Forum begins at six o’clock tonight at the Whitinsville Library.
