By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Today is the final day of the state tax filing season, which the Massachusetts Department of Revenue opened officially on Feb. 12. Residents and non-residents who earned Massachusetts income in 2017 must file their personal income tax forms with the Department of Revenue by the end of the day Today. The state DOR said it grants taxpayers an automatic six-month extension "to file their tax returns as long as they have paid at least 80% of the total amount of tax due on or before the payment due date." This year’s deadline was pushed back two days to April 17th. April 15th was Sunday and of course yesterday was a state holiday, Patriots/Marathon Day.
