MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Franklin Police Department and the town’s Lifelong Community Learning Program are teaming up to offer a Citizen Police Academy, which is set to start in about a month. The purpose of the academy is to give residents a better understanding of what police officers do and how they do it as well as covering the basic operations of the department and the classes will be taught for the most part, by Franklin Police officers. Participants will also learn, among other things, how evidence is collected and what you should do when stopped by police.
