Franklin Storm Update
  

The following is some emergency information for folks without power:

The Town of Franklin Emergency Management Group has met this morning with representatives from National Grid who are present in Franklin.  Approximatley 50% of Franklin is without power and crews are on site in town and more are being dispatched to help in the recovery effort today. 

National Grid is anticipating full restoration at a 72-hour period. 

The Town has a few options for warming and device charging stations located at the Hockomock YMCA at Forge Park (showers available), the Franklin Public Library and Franklin Fire Station Headquarters in Downtown.

Solid Waste (trash) and Recycling collection was NOT delayed today and is on schedule for Friday to be picked up on a regular schedule. 

The Emergency Management Team will meet again this afternoon to assess the situation.

Franklin Town Offices will open on Thursday March 8th at 11:00 AM

Franklin Public Library will open at 11:00 AM

Franklin Senior Center and Public Schools are closed all day. 

All Franklin Recreation programs have been cancelled for March 8th.
