By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Franklin Town Library renovation and expansion project is now nearing completion with a grand re-opening scheduled for this Sunday. While the work was being done, the Library was operating at 25 Kenwood Circle until mid-September. From that time until the end of this week, the Library has been in the process of re-locating to 118 Main Street. The ten-million dollar renovation and expansion of the Library, includes the building getting new electrical and mechanical systems without disturbing the interior and history of the Library. The Grand Re-Opening of the Franklin Town Library, the nation’s first public library, is this Sunday from 12:30-5pm, and everyone is welcome.
