By MyFM's Rick Michales - Governor Charlie Baker announced the cities and towns across the state will be receiving additional funding for road and bridge improvement projects. The amount totals $40 million dollars, funding that was included in a $541 million dollar supplemental budget approved by the Legislature last week. In the original
budget there was $200 million dollars set aside to improve local roads and bridges. For Milford it means an additional $164 thousand dollars, for a total of $986 thousand
dollars. Franklin will get $183 thousand dollars more, putting the total amount at $1.1 million dollars. Holliston and Uxbridge picked up another $102 thousand dollars, to
push each town's total to just over $612 thousand dollars. Meanwhile Bellingham and Hopkinton get over $100 thousand dollars to fix local roads and bridges for Blackstone
and Hopedale the additional amount totals $46 thousand and $34 thousand dollars respectively.
