By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Hopedale Annual Town Meeting Warrant is available for review on the town website where residents will have the opportunity to go over the 20-articles they’ll vote on a week from tonight. Among the articles will be a request to appropriate two and a half million dollars for capital projects including road repair, building improvements, equipment purchases of leases along with all incidental and related expenses. The Board of Selectmen submitted this article for consideration. This bonded debt amount will be Phase 1 of the town's overall Capital Improvement Program. Hopedale residents will also vote on an article proposing an amendment to the Zoning By-Law to prohibit non-medical marijuana retail uses in all zones other than Industrial and Light Industrial with a Special Permit. The town is also seeking approval of a three-percent sales tax on the retail sale of non-medical marijuana only. The Hopedale Annual Town Meeting is next Tuesday May 22nd starting at seven o’clock at the Junior/Senior High School.
