By MyFM's Rick Michaels - There was plenty of discussion about Marijuana establishments last night at the second night of the Hopkinton Annual Town Meeting, one reason more time will be needed to complete action on the 48-articles on the warrant. Residents in the end, late last night, deciding to prohibit all recreational Marijuana establishments to include not only retail stores but also product manufacturers, cultivators, testing facilities and any other type of recreational marijuana facility. The Article passed on a vote of 281-to-51 while an amendment to allow Medical Research and Testing Facilities, not for recreational purposes, was also approved by voters. Hopkinton residents also approved 165-thosuand dollars for technology upgrades at the schools and two articles covering several projects recommended by Community Preservation Committee except for money requested for a Dog Park on Hayden Rowe that failed 184-64. Tonight will be the third night of the Annual Town Meeting, starting at seven o’clock at the Hopkinton Middle School Auditorium.
