By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Board of Health in Hopkinton is releasing information to it’s residents on a tick testing program, saying so far this year 49 residents have been diagnosed with a tick related illness. The town has partnered with the University of Massachusetts, to offer a subsidized program for you to learn if someone in your family has been bitten by a tick that carries a disease. Three of the top five neurologic disorders in Hopkinton, are tick related. All you need to do is remove the tick and place it in a ziplock bag, residents can go to tickreport.com for further instructions. The cost is initially set at 15 dollars for the first 100 ticks submitted 30-dollars after that, the cost is usually 50 dollars.
