By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Hopkinton residents will be deciding on 14 proposed zoning changes all of which have been submitted into the 2019 Annual Town Meeting Warrant and tonight, residents have a chance to comment on eleven of the 14 zoning changes. The Planning Board is required to hold a public hearing on every zoning by law and zoning map change and town officials say an integral part of this process, is public participation. Among the proposed zoning changes to be discussed tonight, deal with Commercial Solar Installations, Restaurants in Industrial districts, Car Wash Uses and self-storage facilities in Industrial districts. Following tonight’s public hearings that begin at seven o’clock at Town Hall the language of any article could be modified, after review by town Counsel and the Planning Board may also decide at such time, to not proceed with a particular article. The three remaining articles will have public hearings next month.
