By MyFm's Rick Michaels - Today is Election Day with voters around the State heading to the polls to decide 56 contested races in the House and 25 in the Senate as both branches of the Legislature will remain strongholds for the Democrats. In the race for the 10th Worcester District representing Milford, Hopedale, Mendon and a part of Medway Incumbent Democratic State Representative Brian Murray of Milford is seeking election to a second term, he is once again being challenged by Republican Sandra Slattery Biagetti of Hopedale who he defeated two years ago. Murray says constituent service was his number one priority, keeping that promise while also securing funding for many local projects and he was able to get five bills passed into law. Biagetti did not provide us with a statement about her campaign. In the 10th Norfolk District, representing Franklin and most of Medway, Incumbent Democratic State Representative Jeffrey Roy of Franklin is being challenged by Republican Patrick Casey of Franklin, a current town councilor. In the 8th Worcester District representing Bellingham, Uxbridge, Blackstone and Millville the chairman of the Bellingham Board of Selectmen, Republican Michael Soter is facing off against Democrat Patrick Malone of Uxbridge both are seeking the seat vacated by Republican State Representative Kevin Kuros of Uxbridge.
