John T. Casey, 78, of Whitinsville passed away Sat. April 14, 2018 at home with his family at his side. He was the loving husband of Lois A. (Berndt) Casey.
Mr. Casey had worked for New England Power Services for 38 years as a Contract Coordinator, retiring in 1998 and had been a resident of Whitinsville for 44 years. He was born in Lynn in 1939 the son of the late William and Mary (McGrath) Casey and earned his Civil Engineering Degree from Merrimack College. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Jack was a founding member and church elder of Faith Fellowship Church in Uxbridge. He truly loved to help people and share his faith in Jesus Christ. He enjoyed all kinds of sports and followed the New England teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He loved spending time with his family which included annual trips to McCoy stadium to watch the Paw Sox and vacations to Cape Cod. He was a faithful supporter of the Whitinsville Christian School, a foster parent and spokesman/supporter of Bethany Christian Services, and in recent years attended the Valley Chapel in Uxbridge.
In addition to Lois, his wife of 50 years, he is survived by his children John D. Casey (Sheryl) of Northbridge, Karen Casey – Ripsz (Steve) of Millbury, and Scott T. Casey (Catherine) of Whitinsville; 9 grandchildren Nathan, Joshua, Benjamin, Zachary, Kayleen, Brandon, Peter, Luke, and James and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Ann Stinson.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4 – 7 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, UXBRIDGE.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 4 PM in the Valley Chapel, 14 Hunter Road, Uxbridge.
