John W. Foley, Jr., 76, of Milford passed away Sat. August 5, 2017 in Countryside Healthcare in Milford. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. (Ridolfi) Foley who died in 2014. A lifelong resident of Milford, Mr. Foley was a firefighter for over 25 years with the Town of Milford Fire Department. In his retirement, he was presently serving as superintendent of the Hopedale Village Cemetery for the past several years. Mr. Foley was born and raised in Milford, the son of the late John W. Foley, Sr. and Angelina (Iannetti) Foley of Milford and was a graduate of the former St. Marys High School in Milford in 1959. He had also served in the Massachusetts National Guard. John loved to cook and would spend days preparing his sauce and meatballs to distribute throughout the entire family. He enjoyed NASCAR, the Baltimore Orioles, the Indianapolis Colts, and trips to Cape Cod in the summer. He also liked gardening and taking care of the yard.

In addition to his mother Angelina, he is survived by his children Lisa M. and her husband Francisco J. Pinto of Milford, Steven M. and his wife Gina M. Foley of FL, and Sheri L. and her husband Brian D. Eason of Uxbridge; 8 grandchildren Kerianne, Kevin, Kristen, Sara, Benjamin, Trevor, Nick, and Jamie; a great-grandson Owen, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Robert Foley and a sister Carol Ann DeManche. Visiting hours will be Thursday August 10, 2017 from 4 | 7 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will be private.
