Franklin 9 Attleboro 7 - The Franklin Panthers improved to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the Hockomock with their 9-7 victory over Attleboro on Tuesday. Senior Bryan Woelfel pitched five innings and didn't allow an earned run while striking out three for Franklin. His classmate, Jake Noviello, was 3-for-4 at the plate with a homer, two runs scored and three RBIs. Junior Scott Elliot smacked two triples and drove in two. Attleboro put the tying run at the plate in the final inning but couldn't come back. The Panthers will head to King Philip on Friday at 3:45 p.m.
Medway 13 Holliston 2 - Nick Assad pitched five innings for Medway while only giving up two runs on five hits and striking out three. The senior also was 4-for-5 at the plate with a leadoff homer, a double, four runs scored and three RBIs. The Mustangs are now 6-1 and 2-1 in the Tri-Valley League while Holliston drops to 5-2 and 2-2 in the TVL. Medway hosts Hopkinton on Friday at 3:45 p.m. while Holliston travels to Bellingham on the same day at the same time.
