Hopedale 7 Blackstone-Millville 2 - Sam Parker did it all in Hopedale's 7-2 win over Blackstone-Millville. The senior pitched a complete game while allowing only one earned run and also smacked two hits on offense. Hopedale improved to 5-2.
Millis 6 Hopkinton 5 (8 innings) - Millis took down Hopkinton in eight innings behind senior Kurt Hopkins. Hopkins pitched four innings in relief and struck out five while allowing only one hit and one run. He also scored the game-winning run. Hopkinton got a two-run homer from Brendan Kelly and a solo shot from Cole Glassburn in the loss. Millis had to score three in the bottom of the seventh to stay alive. They are now 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the Tri-Valley League. Hopkinton is 2-2 and 2-1. The Mohawks will visit Bellingham on Monday at 3:45 pm.
Franklin 14 King Philip 0 - Scott Elliott led the way for the Franklin offense with a double, a walk, two RBIs and two runs. Jason Ulrickson pitched six innings while giving up only six hits and striking out two to earn the win. Franklin improved to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the Hockomock League. They will host Canton on Monday at 3:45 p.m.
Nipmuc 3 Hopedale 1 - Senior captain Jonathan Rice spun a complete game three-hitter while allowing only one earned run, but Hopedale still fell to Nipmuc 3-1. The Blue Raiders fell to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Dual Valley Conference. They will visit Parker Charter on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Hopkinton 15 Nauset 0 (5 innings) - Starter Tom Leone and reliever Tyler Dougherty combined to no-hit Nauset as the Hopkinton offense exploded for 15 runs. The game ended in five innings due to the mercy rule. DH Ben McKenzie went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. The Hillers are now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Tri-Valley League. They host Westwood on Monday at 3:45 p.m.
