Milford 16 Foxboro 4 (6 innings) - Milford keeps winning and this time they used an eight run second inning to blow the game open on the way to victory over Foxboro. The Scarlet Hawks collected 20 hits as a team in the win. Senior captain Emily Piergustavo had three of those hits, including a homer, and drove in five runs. Kelley Reichert spun another good game from the circle as she went all six innings, allowing only one earned run and striking out eight. The senior captain also went 3-for-5 at the dish with three RBIs. Milford is now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Hockomock League. They host North Attleboro on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
Franklin 8 Mansfield 2 - Franklin smacked 14 hits as a team and came away with the 8-2 victory over Mansfield on Monday. Emily Valentino earned the win as she pitched a complete game and allowed only five hits while striking out 12. Kylie Bouzan led the way at the plate as she was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. The Panthers improve to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the Hock. They host Attleboro today at 4 p.m.
Algonquin 11 Hopedale 4 - The Hopedale softball team dropped their first game of the season to Algonquin yesterday by a score of 11-4. They are now 4-1 on the year. Jillian Biseglia picked up two hits and drove in two runs for the Blue Raiders.
Medway 14 Westwood 3 - Elisa Cook was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate as the Medway Mustangs took down Westwood 14-3. Cook also scored twice and drove in two runs. Senior captain Ceilidh Higgins was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Medway is now 3-1 overall and 3-1 in the Tri-Valley League. They host Holliston today at 3:45 p.m.
Holliston 7 Ashland 0 - The Holliston Panthers shut out Ashland for their second win of the season. They are now 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the TVL. Holliston travels to face Medway today at 3:45 p.m.
