Massachusetts State Police Say A Motor Vehicle Stop On Route 146 In Millbury Leads To Arrest Of Uxbridge Man

By MyFM' Rick Michaels - Massachusetts State Police say a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in Millbury led to the arrest of an Uxbridge man for his second offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and four warrants, among other charges. State Police say the operator was identified as 31-year old Joshua Mellen of Uxbridge and after a check with the registry of motor vehicle, it was revealed Mellen’s license was suspended, he also refused to identify himself to police and he was the subject of four warrants out of Worcester and Leominster District Courts for larceny and shoplifting offenses. Mellen was initially stopped by a trooper, who was on patrol on Route 146 North, around 5:50 Tuesday night, when he observed a white Honda Oddessey traveling with un-removed snow/ice on top of the vehicle stopping the vehicle near exit 10 in Millbury, at which time the operator was unable to produce a valid driver’s license upon request and initially falsely identified himself, providing two false names.
