By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Medway Town officials say without question they’re anticipating this will be the most disruptive year of the Route 109 Transportation Improvement Project with construction work expected to begin on Monday. Town officials met with representatives from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Amorello Construction yesterday morning to discuss the construction schedule for 2018. The first major phase of work will be in the area of the Franklin, Milford and Main Street intersection and the Holliston and Main Street intersection. Both will be fully re-constructed and will take 6-8 weeks to complete. During the next four-weeks Columbia Gas crews and contractors will be working in the area of Gould’s Plaza to Holliston Street. Medway Town officials, as the construction picks up again next week, say there will be some challenges but residents, and those traveling through Medway, should know every effort will be made to keep traffic flowing and minimize disruptions.
