Medway Police Officer Recovering After Being Hit While Working
  

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A retired Medway Police officer is recovering, after being struck by a vehicle while working a road construction detail on Main Street in Medway yesterday morning. Special Police officer Richard Malo was working the detail on Main Street/Route 109 at the intersection with Mechanic Street, at about 10:15 yesterday morning when Malo tried to keep a vehicle being driven by a Medway man, from taking a left turn and was struck. The driver of the vehicle 71-year old Jerome Guthro of Medway remained at the scene and is cooperating with police and no charges have been filed at this time, as the accident remains under investigation. A retired Lieutenant with the Medway Police Department Malo was transported to the Milford Regional Medical Center for  treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
