By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Hopedale Planning Board will meet tonight and under new business will conduct a public hearing on zoning and general by-laws relating to non-medical marijuana retail sales. Restrictions on operations of certain types of non-medical marijuana establishments must be approved by Town Meeting and by Hopedale voters in a town-wide election. A discussion will be held tonight on a zoning by-law change and a change to the general by-laws prohibiting recreational marijuana retail sales establishments from locating and operating in the town of Hopedale. The by-laws would not prohibit the operation of marijuana cultivators, independent testing labs and product manufacturers. The Planning Board meets at seven o’clock tonight at Town Hall.
