By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Citizens for Milford is organizing the Fourth Annual Milford Beautification Day to be held on Saturday. It’s an opportunity for residents, organizations and businesses to work together picking up trash around town promoting Milford Pride. A clean sweep of the town will begin at nine o’clock in the morning meeting in the parking lot across the street from Sacred Heart Church on East Main Street where trash bags, gloves and water will be provided to all volunteers. The Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail is co-sponsoring this year’s event along with Citizens for Milford. The event is rain or shine. In Uxbridge the town-wide clean-up day is also Saturday with residents being to help beautify Uxbridge with volunteers meeting at the Town Common at nine o’clock Saturday morning. Some will be part of the National Park Service's Volunteers in Parks program cleaning up around the Blackstone river and the Canal Heritage State Park.
