By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Milford Board of Selectmen met last night on the agenda was a scheduled executive session to discuss the Police Chief contract negotiations and potential litigation. Before the board went into executive session Chairman Michael Walsh asked for a vote to reconsider the extension of Milford Police Chief Tom O’Loughlin’s contract, that ends in June. There was no second from either Selectmen Will Kingkade or Bill Buckley, both have voted against renewing the Chief’s contract. Selectmen Kingkade also read a statement condemning the attacks on his family on social media saying claims against him are unfounded. Kingkade is the subject of a recall movement by a group of residents, who say they’ve been harassed by a number of particular residents, as they try to collect signatures, to remove Kingkade from office they’ll be out at the polling locations in Milford today.
