Ny MyFM's Rick Michaels - If you’re interested in running for town office in Milford you have one week to pick up nomination papers. At this time there are four contested races, meaning nomination papers have been returned with the necessary signatures and the candidate’s name will appear on the ballot in April. The current Chairman of the Milford Board of Selectmen, Bill Buckley, will face opposition for his three-year seat from the town’s Building Commissioner and School Committee member, John Erickson. On the Planning Board John Cook is seeking re-election to another five-year term and is being challenged by Michael Visconte Junior. There’s an open seat on the Board of Assessors and to fill the one-year term Joshua Lioce and Charlie Skaff will face-off. Finally for Constable, a two-year un-expired term has drawn the interest of three Milford residents, Scott Vecchiolla, Nadine LaDeau and Robert P. Sheedy. All nomination papers must be submitted to the Board of Registrars for certification by February 15th. The Milford Annual Town Election will be Tuesday April 4th.
