By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A fire Sunday night in Milford has been ruled as a case of arson and the State Fire Marshall’s Office is seeking the public's help in finding who may have been responsible and a reward is being offered. It was late Sunday night when a passing Milford Police Officer, Brian Cahill, spotted the flames on the side of the porch at a home at 36 West Street calling it in and then waking up and getting everyone out safely. Milford firefighters were able to limit damage to the porch area. This could’ve ended up much worse if not for the fortunate and quick action by Officer Cahill. The State Fire Marshall’s Office has determined the blaze was intentionally set and is offering a five-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of who is responsible for setting the home on fire.
