By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A panel discussion will be held at the Milford Regional Medical Center later this month, on how to ensure your wishes for medical care are met and respected in a healthcare crisis. Milford Regional’s Patient and Family Advisory Council will be hosting the event. The discussion will include advice, on how to have a conversation with family and friends about your wishes, the importance of having a health care proxy whether you’re 18 or 99, it’s never too early or too late and how to prevent you and your family from incurring unnecessary costs. The panel will include the Vice President of the medical staff at Milford Regional Richard Daly, who’s also a local primary care physician and Kimberly Morse, a palliative care physician assistant. Discussing your wishes for medical care should you face a health crisis the event is free but registration is encouraged. The event will be held three weeks from tonight, Wednesday October 24th from 6-7:30pm at Milford Regional’s Physician Conference Center.
