By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A Milford woman entered into the Milford Police Station yesterday morning to report her husband left their home on foot after threatening to harm himself. This began an intensive search for the man around 9:45 yesterday morning in Milford as police tried to ping his cellphone, but he initially had turned if off. Mendon and Marlboro K-9 units were called in and police were searching for the man around Fino and Clarks Island, also in the area of Hayward Street. Another ping of his phone, which he apparently had turned it back on, suggested he was in the area of Muriel Lane and then the search eventually led to Louisa Lake. Milford Police said at one point the man had a knife he was running from police officers as they drew closer to him before finally taking him into custody safely and without incident. The man was then taken to the Milford Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
