By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Milford Town Election is less than two-months away and with yesterday being the last day to return nomination papers and be included on the ballot, there will be contested races for a seat on the Board of Selectmen, three-seats on the School Committee and two-seats on the Board of Library Trustees. Milford Selectmen Chairman Will Kingkade is seeking re-election to a second term and he’s being challenged by outgoing School Committee member John Erickson, making his second bid in as many years. Erickson, Mike Walsh, now a selectman, and Scott Harrison will not return to the School Committee. There are seven-residents seeking one of three-seats, Meghan Hornberger, Sara Howe, Laura Ingemi, Tarik Miranda, Michael Visconte Junior, Glenn Wiech and Christopher Wilson. On the Board of Library Trustees one incumbent, Jennifer Demanche-Yohn, and two-challengers, Marco Bon Tempo and Margaret Myatt, will look to fill one of the two open seats. The Milford Town Clerk's Office will now certify the signatures on the candidate's nomination papers. The Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday April 3rd.
