Police Departments Patrner To Cuff Cancer

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Holliston Police Department will be partnering with the Sherborn Police Department in a cancer awareness campaign which will carry the message ”Let’s handcuff cancer and put it away for life”. Earlier this month Sherborn Police Chief Richard Thompson revealed a decal with that lifesaving message in hopes it’ll be shared, not only on his town’s police cruisers, but possibly on every cruiser  in the state. Chief Thompson himself is a two-time cancer survivor, his brother is Lieutenant Chad Thompson of the Holliston Police Department which has lost two officers to cancer, in the last 14-years most recently, in 2014 when Lieutenant Shawn Moore, a 29-year veteran of the department lost his battle to cancer.  Holliston cruisers will soon be displaying the customized, “Handcuffs on Cancer” patch to remind the public there is hope with awareness,  early detection and yearly preventative care. By taking care of ourselves, we can lock up cancer for life.
