By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A search committee is in place as the Town of Milford seeks to replace Gerry Moody, Milford's long-time Town Counsel, who’s retiring in March. Milford Selectman Chairman Will Kingkade recommended a search committee at the Board's meeting Monday night to screen, interview and present a list of finalists to the Board to conduct interviews and ultimately make an appointment. Moody has served in the role of Town Counsel for Milford for the past 39-years. He’s announced his retirement, which will be effective on March 17th. Kingkade says the board unanimously supported his recommendations for the search committee. Milford Attorney Laura Mann will act as Chair of the committee. Also named to find a replacement for Moody was Town Moderator Michael Noferi and Jed Nosal, counsel from a Boston law firm, that has worked with the town over the past year on the acquisition of the Milford Water Company.
