By MyFM's Rick Michaels - For the second night in a row, Milford residents were asked to attend a community forum last night. This time the topic was Marijuana and the upcoming special town election next week to ban recreational pot shops and businesses from operating in Milford. After a forum on the purchase of the Milford Water Company the previous night, once again last night, the Milford Board of Selectmen were among those speaking in favor of banning retail pot shops in town. The event was put on by Milford Cares and was open to all residents who had questions about recreational marijuana and what they feel will be the consequences such establishments would have on the community. Opponents of the ban, some holding signs outside Town Hall as attendees arrived, say the ballot question goes too far. The Milford Citizens for Fairness group feels the ban goes against the majority of voters in Milford who voted in favor of recreational marijuana last November.
