State Police Arrest Two In Possible Orginized Theft Ring

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - State Police patrolling route 495 Northbound in Foxboro stopped a speeding vehicle Wednesday night around seven o’clock and upon further investigation arrested two men, who may be part of a much larger organized theft ring, from numerous stores across the region. The two men are from out of state and are facing the same charges, 39-year old Julian Vega-Santos of Philadelphia and 40 year old Abundino Ramirez-Guzman of Queens, New York were arrested for the unlawful deactivation of theft detection shielding and receiving property over 12 hundred dollars. State Police discovered the two men had clothing in the vehicle, that still had the security tags intact, later finding a type of insulating tape, used to block the security sensors and a homemade device to remove the sensors from the clothing that had been stolen. Both men were arraigned in Wrentham District Court yesterday, as the investigation continues into the possibility they’re connected to an extensive organized theft ring, that may be focusing on stores around this area.
