The Medway Foundation for Education (MFE) a non-profit, all volunteer organization committed to promoting excellence and innovation in the towns public schools, will host several fundraisers this coming year. One Hundred percent of funds raised are distributed through a grant process, for teacher-initiated programs and technologies that benefit the children of Medway.

Dodgeball Registration is now open
The popular “Dodging 4 School” Dodgeball Tournament will be held on
Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11:00am -7:00pm at the Medway Middle School,
45 Holliston St. Medway, Ma. Sponsored by Charles River Bank
New this year, an “elite” adult division has been added for those who take their dodgeball very seriously. The “House” adult division will be for those looking to have some fun but still be competitive! Teams from outside of Medway are welcome.
For children, the tournament will be broken down into age/grade divisions. The day will start with a drop-in session from 11-noon for children ages 4-7. They will play a modified and supervised version of the game. Grade divisions will be; 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-12. The cost is $160 per team of 8 players. Deadline for registration is March 14th.

Finally, get ready to don your best derby hats, dresses, suits and bow-ties for our Kentucky Derby Party on May 5th at the Thayer House in Medway. This fun-filled evening will include “Run for the Roses”-themed food and beverages, a silent auction, music and games and of course watching of the Kentucky Derby itself! The Medway Foundation for Education is an all volunteer 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization formed in 2000. The MFE provides funds in the form of grants for innovative programs in the Medway schools not already covered by the school budget. Last year over $15,271 was awarded to five worthy grant requests including; Playtime meets Programing (BEEBOTS) ($3,026), A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE institute Peer Training Program ($6,500), Middle School Maker Space ($3,745), Medway Oral History Project ($300), and the MFE Social Media Internship ($1000)
The Medway Foundation for Education has funded over $250,000 to date and is in the process of creating a long term endowment fund for future generations to utilize.
