By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Town of Medway will hold a Special Town Meeting next month when residents will decide the fate of four articles, all receiving the recommendation approval from the Board of Selectmen. Among the articles will be a vote to appropriate $600,000 for an urban renewal plan implementation to be expended by the Medway Redevelopment Authority. The specifics of the plan shall be determined by Medway Selectmen and is to be in the best interest of the town. Medway residents will also vote to appropriate $150,000 from the Community Preservation Act General Unreserved Funds for the restoration and rehabilitation, as the town completes playground improvements at the McGovern and Burke-Memorial Elementary Schools. A second article would reallocate $300,000, money not used when improvements were made recently at several town parks, thus repurposing the Parks Improvement Project funds to the Elementary Playgrounds. The Special Town Meeting will be held on Monday night March 11th at 7pm at Medway High School.
