Upton and Hopedale officials have agreed to a new contract whereby Upton provides safety dispatch services. The new three year agreement goes into effect in July. The town currently pays $18 thousand a year for the service and the increase will bring that to $19,800 going forward with the new contract. Coordinator Steve Sette in Hopedale told WMRC the relationship between the two towns is a good one. Officials meet quarterly to discuss issues and there have been no problems.
