By Myfm's Rick Michaels - The Upton Board of Selectmen meet tonight and among the items on the agenda, will be a summary of the findings of the Town Moderator when it comes to electronic voting at the Town Meeting. Designed to improve accountability and save time, the moderator will present his findings to Upton Selectmen. The Fall Town Meeting is set for the week after the November general election on November 13th and the board will discuss opening the warrant, so town boards have the chance to discuss any articles they wish to propose. Upton Selectmen will discuss a business looking to open a facility to test Marijuana and begin the state application process and it’s projected a pilot contribution to the town of around $60, 000 for the first two to three-years. The Board will also consider a request from the Director of Elder Affairs for reimbursement from the Welfare Trust fund for expenditures made on behalf of those who needed relief from the effects of the recent tornado, that touched down in Upton.
