By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Uxbridge Annual Town Meeting will reconvene tonight when residents will take action to come up with a balanced budget following the failure to get a two-thirds majority vote last week to transfer almost 400-thousand dollars from the stabilization fund to cover an expected shortfall in state funding. Meanwhile, the Uxbridge Annual Town Election is set for a week from tomorrow when residents head to the polls where they’ll vote on just two contested races for 2 three-year seats on the Board of Selectmen with incumbent James Hogan seeking re-election and 3 challengers on the ballot, Susan Franz, Christopher Grant and Brian Plasko. The other contested race is for a one-year term on the Board of Health between Mary Cates and Joann Lindenmayer. Three seats are up for grabs on the School Committee with incumbent Deborah Stark running again. No one else is on the ballot, two write-in candidates could be elected. The Uxbridge Annual Town Election is Tuesday May 22nd.
