Uxbridge Welcomes New Police Chief

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Uxbridge Police Department and the office of the Town Manager is inviting residents to attend a swearing-in ceremony for the town’s new Police Chief. Marc Montminy is a Rhode Island native who left his job as Police Chief in Manchester, Connecticut and he brings almost 30-years of experience to Uxbridge. He’s described as a technology savvy administrator, helping to computerize department records and he presided over a new digital dispatch center. Montminy is replacing former Uxbridge Police Chief Jeff Lourie, who is now the Police Chief in the town of Westboro. The swearing-in ceremony will take place next Wednesday night at the Town Hall beginning at 6pm and the public is invited to meet Chief Montminy and welcome him to Uxbridge.
