Veronica "Vonni" R. Stavish, 75, of Mendon, died peacefully Monday, June 4, 2018, surrounded by her beloved family, at her residence. Vonni and her twin sister Victoria “Vicki” Smith, were born October, 17 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughters of Wells K. Reinoehl and Leola M. (Bitzer) Reinoehl
Vonni graduated from Elkhart (IN) High School and attended Ball State University. She retired from Fleet Bank as the Executive Secretary to the Corporate Director of Branch Management after more than 20 years. She was a doting grandmother, loving mother, and devoted wife.
A lifelong Red Sox fan she loved watching the game with the love of her life Tom and their aptly named dog "Fenway."
Vonni was a fun loving, kind and caring woman who enjoyed her garden and travel, but her greatest enjoyments were living her life thru Christ's word, and spending time with her family. Vonni's life was not easy, but her faith was unwavering and resilient during her worldly challenges. Like Job, she could have cursed God, but was quick to always offer praise to the Lord. She was a devoted and humble servant.
Vonni raised and loved her three children and was blessed with the friendship of her three stepdaughters. She taught Sunday school and volunteered at the church food bank. Vonni was a member of Faith Fellowship Church, the “Neck Hill Road Card Club” and was an active volunteer in her church and her community.
Vonni is survived by her Husband Tom; Beloved Aunt and "second Mother" Mrs. Ida “Betty” (Eli) Craig of Washington Court House, OH; Twin Sister, Mrs. Victoria (Steve) Smith of Houston TX; Sons, Ryan (Brenda) Schneider of Hopedale, MA and Marc (Wendy) Schneider of Mooresville, IN; Daughter, Ann Schneider Fayad of Milford, MA; Stepdaughters; Deborah (Jeffery) May of Uxbridge, MA and Suzanne (Douglas) Walton of Bellingham MA. Tom and Vonni share 18 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and countless other relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her stepdaughter, Michele (Eric) Turner.
Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Faith Fellowship Church, 647 Douglas St, Uxbridge, MA 01569. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Thursday at the church.
