Spring Wellness Programs Begin At Milford Regional

REGION - Registration is open for Milford Regional Medical Center’s spring wellness programs. Beginning the week of April 10 there are eight different weekly classes led by certified instructors and live streamed so you can do them from home. They include Ease into Fitness, Pilates Barre Fusion; Therapeutic QiGong and Zumba Toning; Cardio, Core & Conditioning and a new Chair Fitness class. How Hopkinton Main Street Corridor Project Affects Marathon

HOPKINTON - We've gotten the Boston Marathon plan as it pertains to the Hopkinton Main Street Corridor Project. Project managers announced Friday that paving in preparation for the Boston Marathon is anticipated to start the week of April 3. They say the work is expected to take one day for milling, followed by one day of paving with temporary markings done at night after the paving is completed. Police will be directing traffic as needed and there may be some detours. Read More.

Overdoses Still An Issue In Milford

MILFORD - Eleven people in Milford have overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine since January. The Milford Police Family Services Unit says the latest one was on Saturday and among those 11 is one person who died. One Detective says in his interactions people believe they are only “recreational cocaine users” but they are actually hooked on fentanyl and don’t realize it. And police say people who primarily use stimulants like cocaine may not have an opioid tolerance, making them more susceptible to fentanyl overdoses. Read More.

Middlesex DA Investigates Fatal Accident In Holliston

HOLLISTON - The Middlesex District Attorney's Office is investigating a Saturday night car accident in Holliston in which two people were killed. Holliston Police say Joshua Taylor of Holliston and Haley Gens of Connecticut were killed after the car Taylor was driving rolled over and slammed into a tree on Highland Street just before 10pm. Witnesses told police the car was going very fast before the driver lost control. Police and firefighters from Holliston and Ashland responded to the wreck as did the state collision analysis team.
