Amazon is investing in the Milford Youth Football & Cheer Organization (MYFCO) by purchasing new football helmets for the league’s young athletes for the 2021 season.
MYFCO is a volunteer run, non-profit youth athletic organization in the town of Milford, MA. MYFCO provides a full football and cheerleading experience including instructional coaching, safety training and competitive football and cheer contests for children ages 6 up to age 13 with a focus on building character, self-confidence and good sportsmanship.
“MYFCO’s number one priority is to ensure all our athletes are participating with the safest, most up-to-date equipment. We are truly grateful for Amazon’s partnership and dedication to the health and safety of our young athletes,” said MYFCO League President Vince Loscerbo.
“We’re happy to step forward and support MYFCO’s work in the Milford community, which is creating positive, nurturing experiences for local children,” said Jerome Smith, Amazon’s Sr. Manager of External Affairs. “When we operate in a community, we strive not just to be a good employer, but also a good neighbor, making MYFCO a natural partner for us.”
Amazon has pledged to collaborate with the Milford community. The company’s Milford operations include a delivery station and a newly launched sortation center. Since 2010, Amazon has created more than 15,500 jobs in Massachusetts and has invested more than $6.2 billion across the state including infrastructure and compensation.
