Bellingham Police Nab Liquor Store Robber With Help of K-9s

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Bellingham Police say a burglar alarm was triggered Sunday night at Fields, Wine and Spirits located on Mechanic Street, with police responding quickly discovering the business had been broken into and items were missing. State Police and Mendon Police assisted with a K-9 unit and the result was the arrest of a Bellingham man. 34-year old Benjamin Wildes of 1 Patrick Street is charged with breaking and entering a building in the night time with the intent to commit a felony and larceny from a building. Bellingham Police say Wildes was taken into custody, after the K-9 was able to take officers to 1 Patrick Street, a short distance away from the store on Mechanic Street and on the same street and just yards away from the Bellingham Police Department headquarters where Wildes was taken into Custody and property from the store was recovered.
