The admissions policy at Blackstone Valley Tech in Upton will change with the new group of students seeking acceptance to the popular school. About 900 students from the 13 towns in the district apply each year with about 300 accepted based on several specific categories. The application process will run from November into the beginning of December. Many factors are considered when reviewing a student's past performance when they apply to be admitted including how well they have performed scholastically and their attendance record.
As part of the admission process, previous grades will account for 30 points. In the past it had been 40 points.
