By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office says there will be an independent investigation into the facts and circumstances of an early morning accident last month, involving Milford Selectmen Will Kingkade. District Attorney Joe Early notified Milford Police Chief Tom O’Loughlin, that his office will gather information about the crash, which will then be investigated by the Essex County State Police Detective Unit. According to the Milford Police log for the early morning of September 24th Kingkade lost control of the truck he was driving, striking a telephone pole in front of a home on Whitewood Road, at about 12:45 in the morning. Kingkade left the scene of the accident, with several parts of the truck left on the lawn of the home and in the street. DA Early says any potential prosecution flowing from the matter will be assigned to another District Attorney Office, as a “Special Prosecution”.
