Doris I. (Morin) Savage, 73, of Uxbridge passed away Tuesday July 9, 2019 in Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. She was the wife of Denver S. Savage.
Mrs. Savage was an executive administrator at Diebold Corp. in Marlborough for 10 years before retiring in 2009.
She was born in March of 1946 in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late Rolland “Pete” and Dolores (Dussault) Morin. Doris graduated from Hopedale High School, class of 1964 and received her Associates degree from Dean College.
Doris enjoyed reading, traveling, was a volunteer for over 10 years with the Uxbridge Holiday First Night, and was a member of the Golden Retriever Rescue League. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, liked fly fishing, and enjoyed an occasional dinner out with the “Bernat” ladies. She also enjoyed Christmas and would plan all year round for the holiday. She loved spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
In addition to her husband, Denver, of 54 years, she is survived by her daughters, Kimberly A. Quink and her husband Michael of Leicester, Kristine A. Savage of Uxbridge, Jamie E. Fowler and her husband Jay of Millville, and JoAnna McNally and her husband Brad of Brewer, ME; two brothers, Rolland Morin of Mendon and Raymond Morin of NC; a sister Dianne Morin of Millville; five grandchildren, Amanda, Laura, Shane, Deven, and Jillian, one great-grandchild, Daniella, and two “honorary granddaughters", Rachael and Annette.
Visiting hours will be held Friday July 12, 2019 from 4 – 7 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 13, 2019 at 9 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge.
Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale.
